One of the most remarkable mills that has been saved from decay and restored thanks to many volunteers.
Beschreibung
The Öhlermühle is located in the Schildwende, a small side valley near Titisee-Neustadt. It is owned by August Fürderer and his family and dates back to 1772. The mill has its own living quarters, is operated with an upper beater, has a grinder with a stone entrance and roller mill as well as all the prerequisites for pressing oil in addition to grinding grain.
The farm mill is put into operation for visitors every Whit Monday. Craftsmen such as straw shoe weavers, shingle makers and even the handicrafts of farm women are impressively demonstrated.
Please note: there is only limited parking at the mill, if possible walk, car park in Jostal approx. 1 km.
