Veranstaltungsdetails
The Radschert sports mountain in the Todtnauberg district will be the venue for an unusual winter event. Together with the L(i)ebenswertes Todtnauberg e.V. association, the Beachverein Freiburg e.V., also known as "Die Palme im Schwarzwald", is organising a snow volleyball tournament under the motto "Die Palme im Schnee".
The Freiburg beach volleyball community of the Palme im Schwarzwald, which is normally at home on sand, is venturing onto snowy terrain for the first time. With sturdy footwear (football boots), warm sportswear and plenty of enthusiasm, the teams compete to live out their passion for volleyball in the snow. For most of the players, this literally means playing on uncharted territory, as sand and snow are very different in terms of their composition.
The game is played on two courts in a 3-versus-3 mixed format.
Spectators are cordially invited to "cheer on" the teams in the rousing atmosphere, which is supported by music, moderation and not least the impressive panorama from the Radschert into the valley.
The Radschert sports mountain, above the car park of the same name, offers perfect conditions for this tournament. There will be plenty of time to meet and socialise.
The tournament can take place if there is a layer of snow and no strong winds or rain to hinder the event.
