Raus mit Klaus, Genießertour: Schwarzwälder Spezialitäten
Was Sie erwartet
Hike and enjoy is the motto of the tour with Klaus. First of all, enjoy the view on a panoramic hiking tour over the Zweiseenblick to Bärental.
Then comes the gourmet part. Learn from a real distiller how our high-proof Black Forest Highlands spirits are made. Just like the kirsch, one of the most important ingredients for the Black Forest gateau. You can find out how it is made from a real prizewinner.
Look forward to a real gourmet tour as part of the Black Forest Highlands Gourmet Weeks. With Klaus Gülker, you can either set off from Todtnau or from the Haus der Natur on a panoramic hike followed by a gourmet event. You meet our hiking guide at 8.45 am at the tourist information centre in Todtnau (alternatively: 09.45 am at the Feldberg tourist information centre at Haus der Natur). We take public transport up to the Feldberg (you pay for the bus journey yourself, if you have one, please bring your KONUS guest card).
We start our hike at the Haus der Natur. We take the Emil-Maurer-Weg trail through beautiful forests above the Feldsee lake to our first vantage point: on a clear day, you can see not only the Menzenschwander valley but also the peaks of the Swiss Alps. We soon reach the Zweiseenblick on the western path, over moorland footbridges at Hirschbäder-Moor. Who can recognise the two lakes that lie far below us in the valley?
We take a short break here before continuing down to Bärental, where we can enjoy our favourite destination. There, in the café and schnapps house "zum gscheiten Beck", we let Manuel, the schnapps sommelier, explain to us what is important in the production of his award-winning brandies and liqueurs. A tour of the distillery is of course also included. The "Wässerle" is always accompanied by good Black Forest ham or bacon. Tasting is a must here, which is why there are "Probierele" (small appetisers) of bacon and farmhouse bread. You will also get to know what is probably the most famous cake in the world. Master confectioner Ramona will show you live how she makes her Black Forest Cake, for which she has already been awarded first prize at the Black Forest Cake Festival. You will soon realise how important the kirsch is here.
What would a demonstration like this be without a tasting? At the end, you can look forward to a delicious slice of the freshly made Black Forest gateau with a good coffee in good company.
Take the bus back to the starting point.
