Veranstaltungsdetails
The town of Todtnau is organising the big MundArt night in cooperation with the Muettersproch Gesellschaft and SWR4. Under the motto "Alemannisch gschwätzt un gsunge", seven well-known artists present the Alemannic dialect in all its diversity, sometimes funny, sometimes profound, often both at the same time. The trio "Christoph Köpfer" from Zell i.W., the duo "Ulrike Derndinger and Heinz Siebold" from Lahr and the "Knaschbrüder Jeannot and Christian Weißenberger" from Schopfheim will be performing.
Dialect is everywhere. You have to hear and feel it. The event will be hosted by Jürgen Hack. From 6 p.m., guests will be spoilt with drinks and food from the Baden cuisine by the "Blätzle Narre". "Eifach emol überrasche lo (just let yourself be surprised).
The event is taking place as part of the 1000th anniversary of the town of Todtnau. The town of Todtnau was first mentioned in 1025 in a document of the later Emperor Conrad II. In this document, he returned estates in Gottenheim, Wasenweiler and Todtnau to the Murbach monastery in Alsace, which his predecessor Emperor Henry II had given to the Bishop of Basel.
