Welcome to the Forest Fox "Wälderfuchs" holiday programme!
We will take a closer look at the Feldberg beaver dams and learn more about the life of a beaver and its family. This family-friendly hike is all about "Adventure & Knowledge".
Topics and learning objectives:
- What does a beaver look like? We meet Freddy the beaver from Falkau.
- Where and how does a beaver live?
- What does a beaver eat and how does a beaver family live?
- How can you recognise whether beavers live on and in the river?
First there will be an introduction with the beaver preparation "Freddy".
The main part will be a guided tour from the minigolf course/playground car park in Falkau to the beaver dams to the beaver lodge and then back to the starting point. The children will receive craft materials to take home after the hike.
Distance: 4 km along the Haslach (there and back)
Additional information: Outdoor clothing - waterproof shoes would be advantageous, in case of bad weather the event will have to be cancelled.
For children aged 4 and over accompanied by an adult. Minimum number of participants: 6 people
