Skiing in the Black Forest
The Black Forest Highlands are known for their many winter sports activities. Several ski resorts attract alpine-, cross-country-skiers and snowboarders to the beautiful region during the cold months. With a total of 68 lifts and 140 cross-country skiing tracks ambitious skiers can find happiness in the snow, while cosy establishments invite for après-ski. Accommodation options like hotels, holiday lets, and guesthouses offer comfort for every preference.

The largest ski area is the Feldberg lift network. Due to its altitude, the Feldberg ski area has a high chance of snow throughout the season. The other resorts are a bit smaller, but also have several lifts and slopes for beginners and pros.

When on holiday
Ski rental
If you don't have your own ski equipment or your travel bag doesn't have enough space, you don't have to miss out on the fun. You can rent everything you need on site.
Simply reserve your desired ski sets, toboggans, snowshoes, snowboards or cross-country skis online. Please note that not all shops are open outside the season/holidays.
By the way: With the Red Card you can rent a complete cross-country ski set including ski boots for free at many ski rental shops!
