Rotmeer trail I
Schwer
Demanding tour over the Stefansbühl, to Mittelfalkau and back.
Beschreibung
Varied trail with more challenging descents and ascents, for experts. The variety between snow-covered forest sections and open, sunny clearings makes this tour worth experiencing.

At the ‘Feldberghalle’ you will also find a public car park, as well as the possibility to use the toilets in the ‘Feldberghalle’ (please note: only when the cross-country ski trail is open!).
Wegbeschreibung
You start at the "Feldberghalle" and do a part of the easy "Dörflerunde" round and the medium difficult "Rotmeerweg II" trail to the start of the "Rotmeerweg I" trail.
Once you reach Stefansbühl, the trail climbs steeply and you start to sweat for the first time. You can see the active quarry on your left, and a few metres further on you can take a breather and enjoy the breathtaking views across the Seebachtal valley to mountain Feldberg. As soon as you see the Feldberg tower, continue towards Titiseeblick (Lake Titisee viewpoint), the highest point on our cross-country trail. The challenging trail now takes you to the Schuppenhörnle.
Note: About 200 metres past the Titiseeblick (Lake Titisee viewpoint) there is the possibility of a connecting track from the Schuppenhörnle to the Rotkreuz, if snow conditions are suitable, so that you can join the Rotkreuz track (track to Saig).
The Rotmeer Trail I continues through snow-covered countryside to Oberfalkau, with panoramic views of the surrounding snow-covered forests. From here there are no more climbs, followed by short, fast descents until you reach the Rotmeerweg II, which you follow back to your starting point at the Feldberghalle.
Note: You can join the Rotmeer trail again at the Hotel-Restaurant Peterle in Falkau.
