Beschreibung
Anyone who likes to go up high will love this tour. After a steep ascent on a tarmac road to the Gisiboden Alm, the view down into the valley opens up and the route continues over the highest mountain ranges in the Black Forest. With the Herzogenhorn, the Stübenwasen and the Feldberg, the two highest and the fourth highest peaks are combined in just one tour. You can decide for yourself whether you really want to venture all the way up the Herzogenhorn and the Feldberg, or whether you'd rather save your energy for the rest of the route. After all, the Stübenwasen offers a magnificent view towards Belchen and the longest bench in the world. An excellent combination for an extended break. At this point in the tour, you have already covered most of the metres in altitude and you can work on your average speed past the Nordic Center Notschrei and through the Langenbachtal conservation area or simply roll along. Up to the Almgasthaus Knöpflesbrunnen, you stay at the same altitude level and can make good progress with a slight change in ups and downs. The Knöpflesbrunnen invites you to take another break before heading mainly downhill along the panoramic trail back to Todtnau and the starting point.
