Beschreibung
The hike takes you from Todtnauberg over the summit of the Stübenwasen with the longest bench in the world to the Feldberg summit, the highest mountain in Baden-Württemberg (1493 metres above sea level). Continue to the Feldberg tower, where you will also find the Black Forest Ham Museum. From the tower's viewing platform at a height of around 45 metres, you can discover the surrounding valleys and the other high Black Forest peaks, such as the Herzogenhorn in the south (1415m above sea level) and the Belchen (1414m above sea level) in the west. On a clear day, you can even see the Alpine chain from the Zugspitze (2962 metres above sea level) to Mount Blanc (4810 metres above sea level). The Swiss Alps with the peaks of the Jungfrau (4158 metres above sea level), Eiger (3970 metres above sea level) and Mönch (4107 metres above sea level) seem close enough to touch. The Bismarck Monument is also located near the Feldberg Tower and the mountain station of the Feldberg Cable Car. The hike continues past the Haus der Natur to the legendary Feldsee lake directly at the foot of the Feldberg summit, before ending at the bus stop at the Caritas house.
