The climatic health resort of Menzenschwand lies in a high valley at the foot of the Feldberg, right on the edge of the largest nature reserve in Baden- Württemberg. The youth hostel, a former farmhouse, is situated at an altitude of 860 metres in the district of Vorderdorf in a 360-year-old Black Forest house.

Directions

Travelling by public transport:

The railway station is Schluchsee-Seebrugg. There are public bus connections from there. Group transfers from the railway station to the youth hostel and back are available for a fee. You can reach the youth hostel on foot by getting off at the Menzenschwand-Vorderdorf stop, then walking approx. 250 metres to the right towards the entrance to the village.

Travelling by bus/car:

By car, St. Blasien-Menzenschwand can be reached via the B31 to Titisee-Neustadt, then continue via the B500 via Bärental-Altglashütten to Aha and from there via the 168A country road. The youth hostel is located in the Vorderdorf district of Menzenschwand.

This accommodation has a 1 day cancellation policy. If the booking is cancelled later or not cancelled, a cancellation fee equal to the first night's accommodation costs will be charged.

Alle Gäste müssen Mitglied des DJH (Deutsches Jugendherbergswerk) oder der IYHF (International Youth Hostel Federation) sein. Eine Mitgliedschaft können Sie bei der Ankunft an der Rezeption erwerben. Diese kostet EUR 7 pro Jahr für deutsche Gäste bis 26 Jahre und EUR 22,50 EUR für Familien oder Personen ab 27 Jahren. Jedes Jahr ab Juni können Sie die Mitgliedschaft zum halben Preis erwerben, wenn Sie zum ersten Mal Mitglied des DJH werden. Ausländische Gäste benötigen eine Hostelling International Card (EUR 18), wenn sie nicht Mitglied eines nationalen Jugendherbergsverbands sind. Für einzelne Übernachtungen kann ein 'Welcome Stamp' für EUR 3,50 erworben werden.
