The district Titisee was formerly called Four Valleys. These were Jostal, Schildwende, Spriegelsbach and Altenweg. During this hike, we have the opportunity, except Spriegelsbach, to get to know all these valley cuts.

Wegbeschreibung
The hike begins at the Kurhaus am Titisee. We orient ourselves in the direction of Bärental and branch off into the Alte Poststraße in the direction of the Fürsatzhöhe / Oberaltenweg. After crossing the Höllentalbahn, we follow the Neustädter Straße to the beginning of the village or the end of the village of Titisee. After passing under the B31, we follow the footpath of the B31 (on the right side of the main road - red rhombus). Then we continue to the right on the rising paved road along the golf course Hochschwarzwald.
At the next junction, turn right towards Berghäusle / Fürsatzhöhe. On the hill we have a nice view to Hinterzarten and the ski jumping center. The path now leads into the forest. We always follow the red rhombus and orientate ourselves at the signage "Fürsatzhöhe" and the hiking home "Berghäusle". In "Berghäusle" there is the possibility for us to stop. From the Berghäusle we go back a short distance, leave the mark of the "red rhombus" and walk up to the left into the forest. Before that, however, we should still enjoy the fantastic view of the Feldberg.
When leaving the forest, the view opens to Hochfirst, the mountain of Titisee-Neustadt. Now we go straight to the farm. There we follow to the left the ascending paved road to the Fürsatzhöhe of the peak. Here we have 1071 m with appropriate weather a great view of the Alps on the Kurfürsten and the Berner Oberland. Continue in the direction of Schildwende / Jostal.
Past typical Black Forest farms we now go through the shield turn. The name derives from the fact that up here earlier the coachman had to "turn the shield" because it could not go further. We pass the "Öhlermühle", an old grain and oil mill, as well as, shortly before the exit of the valley, the "Grießbachhof".
Now it is about 1 km along the Jostalstraße direction Neustadt and then we turn right into the Spiegelhaldenweg. From here we walk the last stretch to the Helios hospital and take the bus back to Titisee at the hospital.
Variants of the way:
After the hostel Berghäusle we walk up a few more meters, then a forest road leads us to the right a bit rocky uphill, which ends after 200m at the Fürsatzhöhe.
At the Klausenkapelle we turn left and walk on the Jostalstraße about 100m north on the Josbach. There we follow a natural road that runs parallel to Josbach. We then reach the Schottenhof, which we circle around and continue on the road to the first houses of the Schotten-Quartiers. We turn right into the Schottenweg and reach after a few 100m the bus stop at the Helios hospital.
