Lake, mountain & beer

Stop 1: Lake cruises on the Titisee and Schluchsee

Experience a fascinating boat tour on the lakes of Titisee or Schluchsee, taking you through the unspoiled Black Forest landscape.

Stop 2: The Feldberg Cable Car

Take the Feldberg Cable Car to the top of the Black Forest’s highest mountain, where you can enjoy panoramic views stretching from the Alps to the Vosges from the Feldberg tower.

Stop 3: Brewery Rothaus

Glance over the master brewer’s shoulder on a guided tour through the Rothaus  brewery and find out all about the beer's manufacturing process.  Afterwards, enjoy the taste of the fine German beer.

Tradition & culinary delight

Stop 1: Dome St. Blasius

The dome was built in the early classical style. It is the largest of its kind north of the Alps.  

Stop 2: Monastery Museum St. Märgen

Visit the baroque pilgrimage church and monastery Maria Himmelfahrt as well as the associated Monastery Museum in St. Märgen.

Watch a baker explain and demonstrate how the Black Forest Cake is made,  before sampling a piece for yourself.

Stop 1: Badeparadies Schwarzwald

Enjoy the tropical feeling in the pool bar and Caribbean palms. Relax in several themed saunas or have fun in the family area "Childrens Galaxy" with a lot of different water slides.

Stop 2: Shopping experience in Titisee with a breath–taking view of nature 

The well-known lakeside promenade “Seestrasse” in Titisee offers a wide variety of shopping possibilities. Next to the classic Black Forest souvenirs and gifts you will also find select boutiques. You may shop tax-free at Drubba Company and receive an international 2-year warranty on all mechanical clocks.

Cuckoo clocks & culture in harmony

Black Forest Magic: A Journey through Furtwangen, Schönwald, Schonach, and St. Georgen

Stop 1: Furtwangen - where time tells stories

Start your day with a breathtaking panoramic view from the Brend Tower, offering sweeping vistas over the Black Forest peaks all the way to the Alps. Then, continue into the historic town center of Furtwangen, where a leisurely stroll through the marketplace and past the Narrenbrunnen (Fool’s Fountain) lets you experience the unique charm of the town. A highlight of the day is the German Clock Museum, showcasing an impressive collection of timepieces from all eras. Later, enjoy a short hike to the source of the Danube, immersing yourself in pristine nature. A traditional meal at Kolmenhof, serving regional dishes, completes the day.

Stop 2: Schönwald – Nature and Culture in Harmony

In Schönwald, start your day with a scenic walk through the spa park and to the striking Lourdes Grotto. The Reinertonishof, a historic building with one of the oldest family-run ham-smoking businesses in the Black Forest, transports you back in time, offering a glimpse into the craftsmanship of past centuries. Enjoy authentic regional hospitality and soak up the unique atmosphere.

Stop 3: Schonach – The Heart of Winter Sports and the Cuckoo Clock 

Schonach delights with its historic ski jump, where national and international events take place. The highlight is the world’s largest cuckoo clock, where a handcrafted cuckoo makes its appearance every hour and half hour. The local Tourist Information will provide insights into the region and its winter sports traditions. A visit to the giant cuckoo clock is an unforgettable experience.

Stop 4: St. Georgen – Phonography and Lakeside Delights 

Conclude your journey in St. Georgen, where the charming city park and the Phonograph Museum await. Learn about the history of phonography—from Thomas Edison’s invention of the phonograph to the modern Hi-Fi turntable. A final meal at Seehaus am Klosterweiher, with stunning views over the lake, will perfectly round off your trip with culinary delights. This journey offers the perfect mix of natural wonders, cultural highlights, and authentic Black Forest hospitality.
