Description
Are you an oxygen junkie too? The "Wurzelpfad" provides you with fresh air through shady and wind-protected paths in the forests of Schluchsee.
Enjoy the silence of the forest and a wonderful view at the rest bench on the "Hotzenweg".
Author's recommendation
After the hike, you can cool off in the Schluchsee lake.
Directions
You start your tour at the "Kurhaus" in Schluchsee. From here, cross the church square of the "St. Nikolaus" Catholic Church with its fountain and take the "Kirchsteig" path down to the road. Follow this until the next crossroads, where you turn left into "Faulenfürster Straße". After the town sign, a narrow path, the "Kellermannsweg", branches off to the left. Following the yellow diamond, you walk uphill along this path and enjoy the silence of the forest and its refreshing, cool air.
Once you reach the highest point of your tour, you will enter sparser forest and more open terrain where you can enjoy the sun. Keep straight ahead and follow the glass path. Then turn right onto the wide "Hotzenweg". A short time later, cross the road and walk downhill on the "Alexanderweg" towards "Seebrugg".
You reach a smaller forest path, which you follow almost down to the lake. Here you can enjoy the view of the dam wall at the rest bench on the "Hotzenweg" in Schluchsee- Seebrugg. Continue down the path, then walk along the "Kohlgrubenweg" towards Schluchsee and end your tour at the Kurhaus.
Equipment
We suggest hiking boots!
The path is not suitable for baby carriages.
