The Brend Tower is located on the summit of the Brend in the central Black Forest. The tower is 1149 m above sea level, the highest point in the town of Furtwangen, and was built by the Black Forest Association in 1905 on the "Westweg" hiking trail. The tower is made of granite and is accessed via an external spiral staircase in the lower section and an internal staircase in the upper section. The view extends as far as the Hochfirst, Feldberg, Belchen, Schauinsland and Kandel. On a clear day, you can even see as far as the Rhine plain and the Vosges mountains.

Admission is free, donations for the tower's upkeep via the donation box are welcome.
Note for the winter:
During the winter months, the tower is closed and not accessible.
