The very first mention of this solitary chapel in the Schwende Valley was in 1573.
Beschreibung
The baroque altarpiece depicts Saint Cyriac in a deacon’s robe freeing the daughter of the emperor Diocletian from a demon. His martyrdom in form of decapitation can be seen in the background. Cyriac is one of the Fourteen Holy Helpers. He is patron saint of the oppressed and protector against violent temptation and against all evil.
