Climbing in the Schlücht Valley
The Schlücht Valley is one of the biggest and most tradition-steeped climbing regions in the Southern Black Forest.

Climbing in the Schlücht Valley is varied and interesting. It takes place in accordance with nature protection regulations amidst a fantastic landscape on routes with up to three rope pitches and varying degrees of difficulty.
Location of the climbing region:
The Schlücht Valley is at the southern end of the Ühlingen-Birkendorf district which also includes Riedern am Wald.
The protection, predominantly in form of bolts, is good. Some of the old routes still have pitons in some sections.
Height of the climbing walls:
Up to 60 metres.
Rock structure:
Gneiss, granite, porphyry, a lot of edges and support areas, some cracks.
