Fallow deer enclosure, Grafenhausen - Bulgenbach
Private fallow deer enclosure with a small, informative nature trail. You can also buy food for the animals and drinks for yourself on site, so it's a good idea to bring some change.
Beschreibung
The Ebner family's "Bündt" game reserve
The idyllic "Bündt" game reserve is located on the edge of the Rappenfelsensteig. With around 20 fallow deer on 2 hectares, a species-appropriate freedom of movement is ensured. In winter, the animals are fed only on home-grown fruit and hay, which keeps them robust and healthy. This also guarantees the quality of the meat later on.
An educational trail has been created around the game enclosure (adjacent to the Stutzweg). Here, hikers can learn more about this deer species. For example, that the shovel antlers are characteristic of the male fallow deer. The recently restored "benches" are designed to invite visitors to rest and observe the lively herd of fallow deer.
