Kandel Chapel

The St. Pius Chapel on the Kandel (the local mountain of Waldkirch, Glottertal and St. Peter) was consecrated in 1958. After extensive renovation work, it was consecrated for a second time in 2011.

The chapel is a place of peace and reflection for hikers, cyclists, and motorists passing through. A simple interior with symbolic windows makes the chapel an ideal place to linger for a little while.
