The Reinhard Grieshaber family from the Kupferhof farm in Rohrbach's Reibschental valley lovingly and with great dedication replaced the old farm chapel with a new building in the "Roubschine", which is its old name. Today, the people of Rohrbach call the 43-hectare agricultural estate in the Reibschenbach Valley "Kupferhof". A lot has happened there. Despite all the care taken, the ravages of time had taken their toll on the old farm chapel so that renovation was no longer an option. The result was a new building in the old splendour, which the Reinhard Grieshaber family built with a great deal of love and commitment.
New chapel in its old splendour
In the old days, the Kupferhof chapel, like the farm, was located at today's Sägeplatz and was dedicated to the Mother of God. Johann Grieshaber moved the chapel when he rebuilt the farm at the turn of the century and erected the sawmill. It was renovated for the first time before the First World War and after the Second World War the chapel was given a new turret by master carpenter Landolin Offenburger. Under the direction of master carpenter Rombach from Urach, the new construction took place in 1984, which involved a lot of work.
The old figures were restored by an expert. Reinhard and Erwin Grieshaber also lent a hand, spending many hours of labour on the loving interior work in the old style.
