Langenbach-Trubelsbach nature reserve in Muggenbrunn
There are information boards along the 5km circular walk, explaining the special features of the reserve.
Beschreibung
Langenbach and Trubelsbach are two unspoilt mountain streams that originate between Notschrei and Trubelsmattkopf and meet at Muggenbrunn campsite.
The stream valleys have been declared a nature reserve because of their special flora and fauna. They are part of the European 'Natura 2000' network for the conservation of biodiversity and the preservation of Europe's natural heritage.
The moors in the reserve are remarkable, having been used for peat cutting only a few decades ago. There are also rough grasslands, pastures and semi-natural forests.
