Mountain Rohrhardsberg
The Rohrhardsberg is part of NATURA 2000, a Europe-wide network of protected areas for rare and endangered animals (fauna) and plants (flora) as well as valuable habitats.

At 1163 meters, the Rohrhardsberg is one of the highest elevations in the Central Black Forest and has been a designated nature reserve since 1997, providing a habitat for a variety of endangered animal and plant species such as the extremely rare capercaillie.
Its varied natural landscape of meadows, forests, pastures and moors invites nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet to hike, observe and enjoy in summer. At higher altitudes, the nature reserve offers magnificent views of the Feldberg, the Vosges mountains, the Elz Valley and the northern Black Forest.
The Rohrhardsberg offers wonderful hiking tours, including the U(h)rwaldpfad Rohrhardsberg gourmet trail.
