The Felsele adventure forest is a wooded area in the centre of Neustadt, where seven stations allow visitors to experience nature in a variety of ways.
An extraordinary nature playground with a unique water and sand landscape is a meeting point for many families. The water treading area is an easy and fun way to strengthen the body's defences and get the circulation going. Climbing on the natural rock is possible on 14 different routes, which are also suitable for beginners. You can climb independently at any time with your own equipment, observing the usual rules.
The climbing crags are not supervised. Climbing is at your own risk.
Peace and relaxation can be found on the literary art trail, which invites you to pause for a moment alongside small works of art with their contemplative quotes from nature and on individual benches in cosy spots. The senior citizens' seat is a popular meeting place where people like to chat. The newest station is a tree platform at a height of 8 metres. It can only be visited in conjunction with activities. It is the first tree platform in Germany that can be climbed by wheelchair users.
The Felsele barbecue area is open, the following rules must be observed:
- barbecuing is permitted from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm
- the fire may only be lit in a barbecue bowl
- dry wood or charcoal must be brought along
- after the barbecue, the fireplace and the seating area must be cleaned and the rubbish taken away
- it is forbidden to make noise
- the Felsele Adventure Forest is largely barrier-free
