Theibisenhof Court Chapel
The chapel is a stone building with a façade clad in wooden shingles - typical of the Black Forest. The farm coat of arms is carved into the wrought-iron door. Inside the chapel there is a Marian altar, which was restored in 2000 by the painter Tscholl from Neustadt.
Beschreibung
The Hofkapelle probably dates from the 15th century, making it the oldest chapel in the Reichenbach Valley. The old Theibisenhof (demolished in 1900) was built on a strong spring before 1529 and it is assumed that the Hofkapelle also dates from this time. At that time, the chapel did not have a ridge turret with a bell. It dates from 1939 and was designed and built by the master carpenter Franz Mellert from Neustadt. The bell came from Wolterdingen at the auction of the glassworks.
The interior of the chapel can be seen through the wrought iron door.
