The “Bergweihnacht” is not a concert by the Hochfirst male choir, nor is it a choir concert. It is something special and unique due to the interplay of wind and male voices, zither and organ playing, which is also thanks to the work and ingenuity of musical director Robert Mayr. The participation of guest singers almost doubles the vocal volume of the Hochfirst male choir, enabling them to take turns in presenting well-known and lesser-known melodies from the mountain world and Christmas literature.
The original sound of male voices, soloists, wind instruments, zithers and organ in a special place like the church is always a great listening pleasure! This is why the men's choir has produced a total of 4 CDs with Christmas carols from the mountains in recent years.
