Beschreibung
Bees have populated our planet for millions of years. Their honey is highly valued thanks to its sweet flavour. But beeswax and other bee products are also sought-after products from the bee colony.
However, the most valuable service provided by these industrious insects is the pollination of our plants, which they perform as a service to nature. Bees contribute over 90% of the pollination of cultivated plants and well over 50% of wild plants.
It is therefore worth taking a closer look and finding out more about the life of bees, their products and our local beekeeping. The educational trail with 6 boards and pictures on various topics invites you to do so. It starts at Sauwasen/Hornweg and leads on a short hike through the beautiful Black Forest landscape to Langecker Höhe (trail length approx. 1.8 km).
At the last/6th signpost ("Langeck Höhe") you can follow the yellow rhombus of the Black Forest Association on the right ("St. Peter 2.2 km"), then there is a circular tour.
However, although this section of the trail is very beautiful and also great for children, it is no longer suitable for pushchairs. The path is narrow in places with roots. With a pushchair, you should rather take the little road again for the way back.
