Bossenbühl circular route

From the starting point, the Hotel Traube, walk right along the country road for approx. 300 m until you come to a farm track. Then turn right, the path leads slightly uphill through the Sommerbergwald forest to the B500. Here you have a beautiful view towards St. Peter (Platte), Wildgutach and Simonswäldertal. The trail continues past the Lachenhäusle on the Westweg (red diamond) until you reach the B500 again (Fernhöhe). Continue past a small stone house and into the forest. You walk past a barrier (yellow diamond sign) to the Widiwanderhöhe, where you have a wonderful view over the Upper Black Forest as far as the Feldberg. The route continues along the Mittelweg past the Widiwanderhöhe hiking parking lot, along a road through the forest to the Hochberg. Once out of the forest, you will reach Gasthaus Engel - a good place to stop for refreshments (please note rest days). From here, walk back a short distance, turning left downhill on a farm track until the path makes a sharp left turn. Then turn right and walk straight ahead until you reach the signs for “Schneeberg”. From here, the trail descends slightly to the left until you reach the Schneeberg guesthouse.

Here you cross the country road that leads to Waldau and walk past the parking lot of the ski lifts and the former country bakery Beha back to Waldau and reach the village of Waldau with the Sonne Post inn and walk slightly downhill back to the starting point, the Hotel Traube.
