Beschreibung
Start and finish at the Schneckenhof in Schollach. The route begins in open country, passing the Schneckenhof, Altvogtshof and Bärenhof guesthouses before reaching the Weissenhof. There it turns and crosses the Süssenbach valley. There is a slight climb up the ridge to Engenbachtal. Continue past Oberengenbachhof and Unterengenbachhof to Rengethof. From there the trail goes past the Kuhbauernhof and the Öhlerhof to the Beierleshof, where it crosses the road. The trail continues past the Schollach moor to the Lauleshof and the Bierhaus restaurant, where you will soon have to cross the road again. The final section of the trail passes the Jockenhof farm. There are twelve farms on the Höfe Trail, hence its name.
Wegbeschreibung
The tour begins with an ascent from the Schneckenhof inn in the village of Schollach (where the world's first ski lift was located). Most of the route runs through open countryside, with repeated views of beautiful old Black Forest farmhouses in the idyllic high valley. From Oberengenbach to Renget, the ascent is rewarded with a beautiful descent. (Near Bärenhof there is a link from the Höfe trail via Magrutt to the Panoramawald trail or to Hochberg if there is enough snow). Stay on the Höfe track. The route now alternates between uphill and downhill sections before returning to the Schneckenhof guesthouse after 8km.
