Wegbeschreibung
The long-distance ski trail starts from the Kurhaus in Hinterzarten and initially runs uphill towards Oberzarten, continuing along the Zartenbach stream to the Mathisleweiher pond. The trail continues in the Feldberg district, past Rufenholzplatz and up to Raimartihof. Here you have the opportunity to take a short break in the cozy inn before climbing steeply up the Seesträßchen to the highest point of the tour, the Caritas-Haus am Feldberg at 1250 m above sea level. From there, the long-distance ski trail leads slightly downhill to the Hochkopfhütte, with a great view over the Menzenschwander Tal and the Herzogenhorn over the Farnwitte and finally to the Kapellenkopfhütte. Then you follow a descent down to the Äulemer Kreuz until the trail leads uphill again to the Roßhütte with a great view of the wintry Black Forest surroundings. After the Roßhütte, there is a flat section before a quick descent leads to the Unterkrummenhof snack bar. Once there, you follow the snow-covered lakeside path of the Schluchsee in a southerly direction until you finally reach your destination, the dam wall in Schluchsee-Seebrugg.
