The historical trail "Landscape in Transition" starts at the Schwarzwaldhalle. From here, follow the red arrows towards Brend, then past Friedrichsfelsen into Brennersloch to the Behahof barbecue area. From there, the route leads uphill past the Rappenfelsen, Lochmühle, Kirnerhof and Restaurant Thälerhäusle back to the Schwarzwaldhalle. There are 15 information boards along the route explaining the past of the Black Forest and Neukirch in particular.
