Hochfirst Panorama Trail

Start at the Hotel Jägerhaus and cross the road at the crosswalk in the direction of the train station and then turn left over the level crossing up to Bühlstraße. This leads you left to the Hochfirstschanze in the direction of the ski stadium and right past the Schützenhaus (yellow diamond). Walk uphill under the landing hill of the Hochfirstschanze, continue straight ahead for approx. 300 m and then turn sharp right. From now on it is a little steeper up to the inrun tower of the ski jump. Once at the top, walk along the Sienweg, then take a sharp left until you reach a crossroads (Höhenweg Ost). From here, the trail climbs steadily uphill to the Tafeltrieb. Now take the small hiking trail to the sharp left (red diamond), which leads from Kappel to Hochfirst. Continue along this path past the Balzenwaldhütte until you reach the Hochfirst tower.

There is also the opportunity to take a break (please note rest days). Above all, you can enjoy the beautiful view here - in summer you can see as far as the Alps. From the Hochfirst, walk past the tower and take a sharp right onto the path that leads over the paraglider launch site. From here, the descent is a little steeper and shortly afterwards you reach the Lenzkirch district of Saig. Pass it and turn right along the farm track until you reach the Saiger Kreuz hiking parking lot. From there, walk down the road that leads to the Hochfirst, past the bench on the left into the hiking trail and steadily downhill to the Titisee footpath. From here you can already see Neustadt and join the 5 km return route to the starting point at the Sonnhalde retirement home.
