From Neukirch, the tour leads into the Hohtal valley and via a forest descent towards Kalte Herberge.

After entering Neukirch, the route heads sharply east over the B500 bridge to the steep descent into the Hohtal valley, continuing along the slope through the underground passageof the B500 in Schweizersgrund. Then ascend in an easterly direction along the B500. After a somewhat angular forest descent with a subsequent steep climb, a flat recovery section towards Linach follows. Here a hairpin bend and moderate ascent to the Bildstöckle, then eastwards again parallel to the B500 towards the Kalte Herberge.
