Beschreibung
This 6.3km circular walk takes you around the Todtnauberg. The panoramic loop starts at the Radschert car park and first passes the Jakobus cross. Shortly after the cross, the path turns right towards Berger Höhe. After a few hundred metres you will be rewarded with beautiful views of the Stübenbach and Todtnauberg. There are some very special places to sit and look, including giant chairs, bird houses and benches. The walk continues through woodland and meadows to the Fatima Chapel. Take a break and enjoy the view over Todtnauberg!
From the Fatima Chapel, the trail heads slightly downhill towards the Todtnauberg village of Rütte.
The trail then climbs briefly back up to the starting point of the 6.3km circular walk.

Martin Heidegger was born on 26 September 1889 in Meßkirch and died on 26 May 1976 in Freiburg im Breisgau at the age of 86. Heidegger had a deep connection to the landscape and his home in the southern Black Forest. His wife Elfriede, whom he had married in 1917, used her last savings to buy a plot of land here in Todtnauberg, on which a hut was later built and completed in 1922. The tranquillity and simplicity of the mountain village gave him the atmosphere that allowed him to think and write. Many of his works were written in his hut in Todtnauberg. The hut is still owned by the Heidegger family today. Martin Heidegger was one of the most influential philosophers of the 20th century. However, the content of his works is controversial. Heidegger was a member of the NSDAP from 1933 to 1945 and in 1934 was one of the founding members of the Committee for Legal Philosophy of the National Socialist Academy for German Law, headed by Hans Frank. This commitment is still the subject of controversial debate today. In 2014 and 2015, the Schwarze Hefte (Black Notebooks) became public as part of his complete works with previously unknown anti-Semitic statements.
