Panoramic trail around Schonach

From the Haus des Gastes, cross the parkgarden until you reach Sommerbergstraße. Follow this road to the right until the next crossroads and then turn left up Grubweg.

Continue along the path via Freiheit and Vogeleck, with wonderful views of Schonach to Holzeck, past the wind turbine to Laubeck. At the edge of the forest, turn right towards Vorderlauben until you reach Rensberger Straße. Follow this road for about 500 metres until you reach the next farm on the left. There, turn right to Gummele and then left again below the farm in the direction of Wilhelmshöhe, where you can stop for refreshments at Gasthaus Wilhelmshöhe. After crossing the road, continue to Wolfbauernhof and from there turn left along Turntalstraße back to Schonach.

Good footwear and clothing suitable for the weather are essential for a wonderful winter hiking experience. A drink and rucksack food are recommended for all tours.

Premium winter hiking trails are specially maintained and signposted winter hiking trails. The routes are selected so that they are mostly very scenic and as comfortable as possible to walk on. The winter hiking trails are checked and cleared or prepared daily and are mostly circular hiking trails.
