Schonach-Belchen long-distance ski trail, Feldberg Rinken-Notschrei stage

This is the start of the non-machine-prepared section: steep and long forest ascent, then after a zigzag on the Emil-Thoma-Weg over wind-exposed slopes with snow cornices to the Grüblesattel. Here you cross pole markings and tracks left by snow vehicles. In clear weather, a detour to the main summit or to the nearby Seebuck is recommended. Otherwise, cross the saddle in a straight line and descend gently on a mostly groomed track towards the Feldberger Hof, but after approx. 800m turn right onto the slope path, which leads gently down the steep southern slope of the Feldberg to the Todtnauer Hütte.
