Schonach-Belchen long-distance ski trail, stage 1-2, Weißenbach - Martinskapelle (section 2)

At the Martinskapelle, it is worth making a detour to the source of the river Danube below the Mountain inn Kolmenhof.

After joining the Schönwald cross-country ski trail, you reach a descent and cross a road. After crossing the wide valley floor of the Weißenbach valley, you reach the heights above the climatic health resort and winter sports centre of Schönwald after a climb.

Continue past the Adlersprungschanze (eagle jump) and continue moderately up and down to the Blasloch forest descent, which leads directly to the Rothaus cross-country skiing centre with biathlon shooting range. Following the signs for Martinskapelle, the trail leads through the upper Farnberg and after a long ascent over the Steinbühl to the Martinskapelle ski hut.

Appropriate clothing and backpack provisions are recommended.
