Wegbeschreibung
From Thurner, you follow the Thurnerspur trail, first flat, then climbing steeply in varied terrain with wonderful views of the Freiburger Bucht and the Vosges, and finally through forest to the saddle of the Weißtannenhöhe and from here mainly downhill to the turning point of the Thurnerspur trail at the Trescherhäusle. After the 50 km signpost, the route follows an initially flat and then a brisk forest descent. The trail continues downhill along an open eastern slope to the Fürsatz. In a loop, you switch to the western slope, past the Berghäusle, a hiking home run by the Black Forest Association, to the Heiligenbrunnen inn. From the inn, a fast and then flat descent with short climbs to the spiral pedestrian overpass over the B31. From here downhill and again through the forest to the railroad underpass and after crossing the road to the Hinterzarten Kurhaus.
