Snowshoe trail Sattelwasen Herrenschwand

At the Naturparkhotel derWaldfrieden, you can relax after the tour.

Take tea and a snack with you, because a break at the Sattelwasenhütte in the middle of the snow-covered forest is an unforgettable experience.

From the car park at the Herrenschwand ski lift, start your 5km tour towards Sattelwasen. Follow the pink snowshoe trail signs with the number five. The trail climbs steadily along the ski slope until you reach the highest point at 1165m. Take in the views and the winter wonderland around you.

From here the trail continues downhill to your destination - the Sattelwasen hut. Once there, you can take a short break and enjoy the scenery before getting ready for the return journey, which follows the same route as the outward journey.

We recommend winter clothing.

Snowshoe trails are specially marked trails off the beaten track through pristine winter landscapes. These routes can only be travelled with snowshoes. Safe walking in uneven terrain is a prerequisite!
