Beschreibung
Both snowshoe trails on the mountain are specially signposted and make it easy to discover the beauty of the surroundings on your own.
If you prefer not to explore the wintry Feldberg on your own, you can join one of the many guided snowshoe tours in the Black Forest (hochschwarzwald.de).
Autorentipp
A short detour to the Bismarck monument opens up a view of the Feldsee lake
Wegbeschreibung
The summit tour takes you to the highest peak in the Black Forest. Like the Seebuck Trail, it starts at the "Haus der Natur" and first takes you up the winter hiking trail to the Seebuck. Follow the signs to the left and cross the ski slope under the Zeiger cable car. After a wonderful climb through the forest you reach Seebuck. The path then descends for a short stretch to the Grüble, before climbing steeply to the Mittelbuck. Keep a safe distance from the edge of the ridge as you climb! You will reach the 'highest point', the Feldberg summit at 1,493 metres. If the weather is good, you can enjoy panoramic views well beyond the Black Forest. From here you can either descend directly to the St. Wilhelmer Hütte Hut or take a shorter route south-west to the Todtnauer Hütte Hut. The Panorama Trail then takes you back to the "Haus der Natur".
Ausrüstung
Clothing adapted to the weather and good snowshoes are essential.
Sicherheitshinweise
ATTENTION in fog. At the Seebuck, the runner signs are spaced out. However, there are directional arrows.
