Wegebeschaffenheit
Beschreibung
You start the tour at St. Märgen town hall via the Ohmenbergweg to the Ohmenkapelle chapel. The 18th century chapel is well worth a visit. After a short ascent, the route is mainly downhill until a short, steep climb shortly before Burg am Wald near Kirchzarten.
The climb is followed by another short descent before the route continues without any major climbs via Stegen to Wiesental. Shortly after Wiesental, the going gets tough, with more than 300 meters of altitude to overcome in a short stretch. Once you reach the Hornbühl, the route continues more gently over the Brombeerkopf, Langeck and then up past St. Peter.
After St. Peter, a few more meters in altitude await you before you reach the highest point of the tour at 1,036 m at Kapfenberg. You can then take it easy on the way back to St. Märgen.
Autorentipp
If the tour is not enough for you, you can let off steam on the bike trail at the Schwarzwaldhalle.
