Beschreibung
There are few things that fascinate people more than water in its natural environment. Water is a decelerator. Water is a source of strength. Water is the elixir of life.
Along its 109 kilometres between the climatic health resort of Triberg in the Black Forest and its destination in Neuhausen am Rheinfall in the Swiss canton of Schaffhausen, the WasserWeltenSteig presents water in its most diverse forms. The route skilfully follows the gentle ridges along the watershed between the Rhine and the Danube, revealing the water-dominated landscape of the Southern Black Forest Nature Park and the Randen. Along the way, waterfalls thunder down into the valley - as at the start at the Triberg waterfalls and at the finish at the majestic Rhine Falls. Then again, streams babble gently at the edge of the path or jump merrily over cascades through pristine gorges. Water tempts you to take a refreshing dip along the way, enchants you mysteriously as a quiet moorland lake or in wild gorges. Water is almost omnipresent on the WasserWeltenSteig.
