Winter hiking trail Oberaltenweg

Start at the Kurhaus in Titisee and turn right into Alte Poststraße before the Sparkasse bank. After the Christkönig Catholic church, turn right through the pedestrian subway and then cross the road. Then continue in the direction of Oberaltenweg / golf course. Here you continue below the golf course.

The route now climbs slightly through the sun-kissed Oberaltenweg side valley. You are accompanied by open fields, numerous stately Black Forest farms and the leisurely babbling Altenwegsbächle stream. At Lafette, you use the ‘Schneck’ (crossing of the B 31) in the direction of Hinterzartener Moor. Here you have a wonderful view of the village of Hinterzarten, the local mountain ‘Windeckkopf’ and of course the Hinterzarten moor.

The moorland circular trail takes you to Hinterzarten railway station in just a few minutes. The route leads past the Adlerweiher pond in the direction of Titisee (Winterhalde). Continue along the path to the Eisweiher pond and directly back to the centre of Titisee and the starting point. Alternatively, you can take the train back from Hinterzarten every 30 minutes.
