Description
Enjoy the tranquillity of the white winter forest and take pleasure in the sparkle of the "Schlüchtsee", which may be covered in an enchanting layer of ice. If the weather is clear, you can admire the Alpine chain on the way back.
Author's recommendation
Afterwards, let yourself be transported back in time in the "Hüsli" museum of local history or warm up in the café or the Rothaus brewery.
Directions
From the parking lot of the tourist information office, where there are also public toilets, you first walk towards the main road and turn left onto the "Alpenblickweg" in front of the "Tannenhof". Follow this path into the "Kapellenwald". Stay on the path, which now makes a wide right-hand bend and turns into the "Hochstichweg". This takes you past the youth campsite to the sports field. Here you turn right onto "Schlüchtseeweg", which takes you for a short distance along the lake and then leads you back to the starting point.
Equipment
We recommend winter-proof equipment!
