Beschreibung
The hike takes you from the Hebelhof on the Feldberg up to the 1415 metre-high Herzogenhorn. Up there, you have an overwhelming view of the surrounding Black Forest peaks and, on a clear day, the Alpine chain of the Swiss Alps. The route continues through the Hinterwald forest to the Bernauer Kreuz, which was an important transport hub between Todtnau and St. Blasien in the Middle Ages. From here, the route leads to the Gisiboden-Alm. Here you can stop off at the Gisiboden-Alm mountain inn (closed Monday-Wednesday). The hike takes you via the beautifully situated Gisiboden-Alm to the Hasenhorn tower. From the viewing platform, you have another marvellous view of the surrounding Black Forest peaks and, with a bit of luck, the Alps. From the Hasenhorn tower, the hike now takes you to the mountain station of the Hasenhorn cable car, where you have three options for getting down to the valley:
- Whizz down into the valley on the Hasenhorn Coaster (expect a longer wait in summer)
- Float comfortably down to Todtnau on the cable car
- Hike down to Todtnau (approx. 4km), e.g. via the "Zauberweg" children's hiking trail
