Wegbeschreibung
Start your 16km walk at the Todtnauer Hütte. From here you first pass the Laurentius Chapel before reaching the junction Stübenwasen/Todtnauer Hütte. Bear left here and start the two kilometre climb to the summit of the Stübenwasen (1386m). From here you can enjoy wonderful views over the Wiesental valley as far as the Alps.
After a short rest, start the two kilometre descent. Pass the Stübenwasen inn and continue towards Notschrei. Follow the winter hiking trail through the snow-covered spruce forest to the Neustützkopf. Here, about a kilometre and a half before Notschrei, the winter hiking trail branches off to the left and takes you directly to Muggenbrunn on the Heubühlweg. Cross the main road 126 and pass the campsite on your left. The next two kilometres are uphill along the Trubelsbach stream. Just before the Trubelsmattkopf, turn left towards Wasserbüttenen. On the south-east side, walk along the Köpfles and cross the Wasen ski lift in the direction of 'Schweine'. After about 16km you will reach the Knöpflesbrunnen inn, through the Rüttewald forest and over the Hasbacher Höhe. If the weather is good, you can enjoy wonderful views over the Wiesental valley.
