Beschreibung
Away from the screen - towards nature! People should put down their mobile phones, switch them off, leave them at home and simply look at and enjoy nature.
This was the motto of the Schwärzenbach rural youth project for the 72-hour campaign in 2019. The result is the Schwärzenbacher Gäg-Wäg: an approx. 5 km long hiking trail through Schwärzenbach with a joke station every 250-300m. They are designed to make walking easier and occasionally bring a smile to the hiker's face.
In addition to the Gägs, the trail also offers a picturesque view over the Upper Black Forest with the Feldberg as the highlight, as well as a magnificent Alpine panorama when the weather is right. The Ahorn inn, the Feldbergblick café and the Donishäusle and Salenhof inns are also located directly on the hiking route.
Autorentipp
After the hike, you can fortify yourself with a snack or other delicacies at Gasthaus Ahorn.
Wegbeschreibung
The trail is divided into two routes:
1st route = suitable for baby carriages (on paved or tarred paths)
8 Gäg stations
Approx. 2 km (approx. 45 min)
Starting point is at the Platzberg (barbecue and playground) in Schwärzenbach. From there, follow the path towards the village center, past the Cafè Feldbergblick, to the Thomilishäusle. Here you turn left onto the hiking route and after a short climb you reach the plateau. Continue along the high trail to the Russenkreuz cross at the hiking parking lot, where you turn left and return to the starting point.
2nd route = backpack required (partly unpaved paths)
20 Gäg stations
Approx. 5 km (1.5 - 2 hours)
As far as the Russenkreuz cross at the hiking parking lot on the plateau, the route is the same as route 1, but you go straight ahead, following the Förster-Dinger-Weg, past the ski hut, through a section of forest to the Hellewanderkapelle chapel. Shortly after the chapel, continue left until you leave the forest above the Haberjockelshof. Here the route runs left along the edge of the forest on a narrower path until you reach the aforementioned ski hut again. Now all you have to do is walk to the Russenkreuz, turn right and you will be back at the starting point.
Ausrüstung
We recommend sturdy shoes! The right-hand loop, past Café Feldbergblick, is suitable for baby carriages. A back carrier is required for the left loop.
