Wegbeschreibung
First, you can take the time to visit the cemetery chapel of St. Wendelin. Wendelin is the patron saint of shepherds, farmers, day laborers and agricultural workers. At the wayside cross, cross the road to Fallerhof. Your next destination is the Fallerhof farm chapel. The chapel dates back to 1988 and replaces the former farm chapel.
You leave the Ordnach valley and follow the yellow diamond signpost uphill. Enjoy the view over the wide valley and immerse yourself in the contemplative silence of the forest at the wayside cross. Via the high trail, you reach the Schneeberg via the Wintersweg. At “Schnattertal”, a signpost leads you to a viewpoint, which you reach in 150 m. A detour that is well worth it. From there, you have a wonderful view over the Black Forest hills towards Feldberg. A bench invites you to take a short breather. You return to the hiking trail and head back down into the valley via the “Lorenzhöhe”, past the fish pond with Kneipp facility and small playground, to Waldau. Follow the yellow diamond through the village. Before you reach the Traube restaurant, you can turn right and visit the parish church of St. Nikolaus. Go back to the Traube inn and follow the yellow diamond trail out of the village in the direction of “Lachenhäusle”. Looking back, you have a wonderful view over Waldau into the Lagenordnachtal valley. At the “Lachenhäusle” you cross the B 500 and walk over the Fernhöhe to the Fernkreuz and on to the Fernhof. Your next destination is the Fernhof farm chapel. You walk past the extinguishing pond, steeply up the field path and reach the B 500. You cross this and rejoin the hiking trail at the “Fernhöhe” parking lot. The “yellow diamond” accompanies you over the “Widiwandereck” to the “Eckert-Kreuz”. From there, there is a worthwhile detour to the Reitsattel 1.5 km away. There you will find the “Judas Thaddäus” chapel.
You return to the Ecker cross. There, follow the “yellow diamond” again and follow it to Gasthof Engel am Hochberg. Behind the inn, head towards “U-Langenordnach/ O-Langenordnach”. The path leads you down to your starting point, the church in Oberlangenordnach. When you reach the road to Waldau again, you will see the landmark of Langenordnach, the Wendelinus oak, on your right. Once you have reached your starting point, you can make a detour to Unterlangenordnach. Here you can fortify yourself at the Schwarzwaldgasthof Zum Löwen-Unteres Wirtshaus before the trail takes you back to Oberlangenordnach.
